What was the best era for Spider-Man? Stan Lee's first Spider-Man run? Dan Slott's a decade-long run, overlapping with Andrew Garfield's Spider-Man movies? 80s Symbiote Suit era? 2020's Venom 3, Madame Web and Zeb Well's Spider-Man? (definitely not) Personally, I would pick the 2000s, the beginning of the 21st century, as the golden age for our beloved web-slinger. 2000s In the year 2000, we got the first issue of fan favourite Spider-Man run, " Ultimate Spider-Man" by Michael Brian Bendis and Mark Bagley .  What is the best Frank Miller' s work? Despite what I said in the last blog, I like Frank Miller , or at least a few of his works, even though his work is very inconsistent in both art and writing. For that reason, his work always has been very controversial, but it became even more so after what happened on  9/11  in NYC. Especially his art in ' The Dark Knight Strikes Again ."  However, we're not going to talk about his art today. I'll be discussing what made " Year One"  so special and so much better than " The Dark Knight Returns ." I'm pretty sure that many of you have heard people talking about this book. Maybe, you even heard people saying this is the greatest Batman comic book of all time. I'm going to tell you why this is the worst place for a beginner to start and why it's so overrated. The Dark Knight Returns (TDKR for short) "The Dark Knight Returns"  was a miniseries made up of 4 issues, published by DC. The writer and the penciler for this book is the infamous Frank Miller .
